Mennies Wins Prize
Join us as we congratulate Cimarron contributor Rachel Mennies, whose first book of poems, The Glad Hand of God Points Backwards, won the 2013 Walt McDonald First Book Prize in Poetry and will be published in Spring, 2014 from Texas Tech University Press.
Good News from Brazaitis
Cimarron Review contributor Mark Brazaitis’s collection of stories The Incurables, winner of the 2012 Richard Sullivan Prize, is in its third printing. The book, which includes a story first published in the Cimarron Review (“I Return”), also won the 2013 Devil’s Kitchen Reading Award for fiction, which is given by Southern Illinois University Carbondale and its undergraduate literary magazine, Grassroots.
